We are aware of the urgent need to travel sustainably, especially when it comes to scuba diving. That’s why we’re committed to implementing environmentally friendly projects in this area, to preserve the underwater beauty we so cherish.

Allow us to introduce ourselves. My name is Sean Siegrist, and for almost thirty years I’ve had the privilege of working as a dive guide aboard liveaboards, exploring the crystal-clear waters of the world’s oceans and sharing my passion with ocean ambassador divers. However, over the years, I have also witnessed the challenges facing our marine ecosystem as a result of climate change and pollution.

In 2022, we founded Sea & Dive, a Swiss non-profit association dedicated to implementing environmentally-friendly projects in the field of scuba diving and related activities. Our aim is clear: to create a positive impact on our precious marine environment while offering diving enthusiasts an unforgettable experience.

Our flagship project, for which I am the leader, consists of designing and building a hybrid-powered Liveaboard dive cruiser. We aim to create a unique example of a sustainable dive travel experience, combining the pleasures of cruising with the preservation of the marine environment. By developing this hybrid propulsion technology, we will significantly reduce our carbon footprint, minimizing the impact on the fragile ecosystems we love to explore.

This Liveaboard dive cruiser will serve as a model that we can duplicate in different destinations around the world. We want to share our vision and commitment with other diving enthusiasts, and offer them the chance to enjoy unique experiences while respecting the environment.

But our work doesn’t stop there. We also plan to develop recycling initiatives, support the actions of other associations and raise awareness of ocean protection among divers and the general public.
